Industrial Management Assistant

  • Career prospects: Career opportunities in all business operations possible
  • Continuing education: Depending on the area of expertise, professional development or studies e.g. Business Administration

As prospective Industrial Management Assistant, you will be included in all relevant business processes of the company. This allows you to get to know the company and all related processes. You gain practical insights into material, production and sales economy as well as into finance and accounting and other areas of the company.

Technical Product Designer

  • Location: Neukirchen-Vluyn
  • Duration of training: 3.5 years (early admission to examination possible)
  • Requirements: High school diploma, good performance in Maths, Physics and Technical subjects
  • Soft skills: Spatial perception, technical understanding, team capability
  • Career perspective: Construction, product management
  • Further training opportunities: Technician or part-time study, e.g. mechanical engineering

As an aspiring Technical Product Designer, you will create data models for the manufacturing of products using 2D and 3D CAD systems. You will work according to the engineers' and designers' specifications, and accompany the process development of a new product from the design specification to the computer-assisted virtual product. The main focus of your tasks will lie in construction and design, calculation and simulation as well as process and project management.

Computer Science Expert - Software Development

  • Location: Neukirchen-Vluyn
  • Duration of training: 3 years (early admission to exam possible)
  • Requirements: A-levels or equivalent, good performance in German, Maths, English and Computer Science
  • Soft skills: abstract-logical thinking, above-average ability to memorise
  • Career prospects: future work in software projects (apps for cloud and desktop)
  • Further training opportunities: part-time professional training courses (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)

As a Computer Science Expert in Software Development, you develop and program software according to customer wishes. You test existing applications, adapt them and develop user-friendly interfaces. You use programming languages and tools such as development tools for your work. Moreover, you apply the methods of software engineering. You also correct errors using expert and diagnostic systems and advise or train users.

Computer Science Expert - System Integration

  • Location: Neukirchen-Vluyn
  • Duration of training: 3 years (early admission to examination possible)
  • Requirements: College or university entrance diploma, strong performance in German, Maths, English, and Computer Science
  • Soft skills: Abstract-logical thinking, above average memory skills, good fine motor skills
  • Professional prospects: Future work in IT infrastructure (Network, Hardware, Software, IT-Security)
  • Continued education opportunities: Occupational further training courses (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)

Throughout the 3-year training, you will go through the entire IT sector and also get to know the technology, production and administration. You will learn about the processes in IT support and maintenance, and assist us in setting up networks and servers. "Cyber attack – NO THANKS!" in IT security, you will learn how we can protect ourselves against "EVIL attacks". This is a dual education programme, i.e. the practical part will take place in the company, the theoretical part will be taught in the vocational school as block lessons.

Metals Technology Specialist

  • Locations: Neukirchen-Vluyn, Anholt
  • Duration of training: 2 years (early admittance to examination is possible)
  • Requirements: GCSE's, good marks in Maths and Physics
  • Soft skills: Technical understanding, craftsmanship, spatial perception
  • Professional prospects: A foundation for many metalworking areas of production
  • Opportunities for further training: if the training results are outstanding, an extension to become a construction mechanic is possible

As a prospective specialist for metal technology, you will assemble components into machines or complete products, for example, and check, optimise, and monitor various assembly processes. With the help of technical documents, you will determine the individual production steps and the choice of tools and manufacturing procedures. The focus is on the shaping of sheets, separating tubes and profiles, as well as combining individual parts into metal constructions

Construction Mechanic

  • Locations: Neukirchen-Vluyn, Anholt
  • Duration of training: 3.5 years (early admission to examination possible)
  • Prerequisites: Lower Secondary School Certificate Type B, good performances in Maths, Physics and Technology
  • Soft skills: Technical understanding, manual dexterity, spatial imagination
  • Career Prospects: Basis for all metalworking areas of manufacturing
  • Further training opportunities: Technician, Master or part-time studies e.g. Mechanical Engineering

As a Construction Mechanic (m/f/d) you will plan metal constructions using technical drawings and parts lists. With the help of manual and machined manufacturing and welding processes, you manufacture individual components from sheets, profiles and tubes. In a practical way, you will learn to assemble and disassemble metal constructions using different joining techniques. The typical area of application in our company is sheet metal construction 

Mechatronics Technician

  • Location: Anholt
  • Duration of training: 3.5 years (early examination admission possible)
  • Requirements: Fachoberschulreife, good achievements in maths, physics and engineering
  • Soft skills: technical understanding, manual skills, spatial imagination
  • Professional prospects: foundation for all areas in production
  • Further training opportunities: Technician, master craftsman or part-time degree (e.g. electrical engineering, metal technology, mechanical engineering)

As an aspiring Mechatronics Technician, you build complex mechatronic systems such as robots for industrial production from mechanical, electrical and electronic components. You manufacture the individual components and assemble them into systems and installations. You commission the completed systems, programme them or install associated software. You follow circuit diagrams and construction drawings and carefully test the systems before they are delivered to the customer. In addition, you maintain and repair mechatronic systems.

Industrial Electrician

  • Location: Anholt
  • Duration of Training: 2 Years (early admission to exam possible)
  • Prerequisites: Secondary School Certificate, good performance in Maths and Physics
  • Soft skills: Technical understanding, logical reasoning
  • Career Prospects: Foundation for all electrical areas in manufacturing
  • Further Training Opportunities: Part-time further education courses, Technician, Master

As an Industrial Electrician specialising in operational electrics, you will mount electrical operating resources and connect them up. You will measure and analyse electrical systems and assess their safety. In addition, you maintain the systems and facilities.

Warehouse Logistics Expert

  • Location: Anholt
  • Duration of Apprenticeship: 3 years
  • Prerequisites: Minimum secondary school completion, good performance in German, Mathematics, English
  • Soft skills: Dedication, Analytical Thinking, Organisational Talent

As a Warehouse Logistics Expert, you are responsible for the acceptance, inspection and appropriate storage of goods. You load and ship goods and additionally compile delivery schedules and tour plans. You also help to optimise the logistical processes in our company. Your place of assignment can vary between a warehouse and the office.

Skilled Warehouse Operator

  • Location: Anholt
  • Training duration: 2 years
  • Requirements: At least secondary school leaving certificate, good performance in German, Mathematics, English
  • Soft skills: Commitment, analytical thinking, organisational talent

As a Skilled Warehouse Operator, you are responsible for the acceptance of goods and their inspection. You record the goods and after checking their condition, store them properly or forward them to the designated place in the company. You help to optimise the storage of goods and are also responsible for the regular check of the stock. You are also in charge of dispatch, for which you pack the goods, complete the necessary papers and load the lorries. Throughout the entire process, you adhere to the relevant regulations to ensure an optimal workflow.

Apprenticeship pay in accordance with the collective agreement for the metal and electrical industry in NRW

1st year of training: 1,065.59 € gross
2nd year of training: 1,118.65 € gross 
3rd year of training: 1,197.47 € gross
4th year of training: 1,300.99 € gross

Internship Semester

Would you like to complete an internship semester and gain up to 6 months of full-time work experience?

Bachelor's or Master's Thesis

Various topics are ideal for a final thesis. TROX has a wide range of topics on offer, but we are also open to your own suggestions. The final choice of topic will be made in close consultation between you, your professor and your supervisor.

  • Bachelor thesis length: 3 - 6 months (possibly with a practical phase beforehand)
  • Master thesis length: up to 6 months
  • Flexible locations and working hours 
  • Support from a dedicated contact person and possibly a second examiner

  • Monthly maintenance allowance: Bachelor thesis €600 and Master thesis €800

Ccompulsory or Specialised Internship

Is your compulsory or specialised internship coming up? Depending on the duration and possible compulsory content, the capacity will be checked in advance and a corresponding schedule drawn up. The supervisors in the department will be available to you at all times during the internship. You will also receive appropriate remuneration.
